Wimborne Town were promoted to the Zamaretto Southern League on Monday night with a 1-3 win away at Alresford.

The greatest night in the club’s 130 year history!

As an ex-season ticket holder at Old Trafford I’ve enjoyed amazing nights like Manchester United’s 7-1 win over Roma, but I’ve also had to endure the 6 hour bus journey home following a 0-0 draw with Sunderland on a wet, cold Tuesday evening.

Wimborne Town’s victory over Dorchester Town definitely makes up for some of the downs.

Three divisions above us we didn’t just win the game we totally dominated it – winning 1-4.

A great (although cold and soaking wet) night to be a Magpie!
