21st April 2010 – I’m photographing the wonderful Millers at the Anchor Hotel in Porlock Weir, North Somerset.
Up early, to catch sunrise on the hotel which is nestled at the end of very narrow country lanes beside a small harbour.
6am, and I notice a familiar site that had been missing for five days – the vapor trails of airliners once again in the sky after British Airspace was closed because of the volcanic ash cloud.
Funny how the familiar can disappear, and how it feels to see it back.
